Ponyville stallions wanted!

It is well known throughout Ponyville that a mate is not easy to come by. There are few stallions among the throngs of mares and fillies. The Princess Council has come up with a clever idea for stallions in the area; a bachelor book. However suggestive the title may be, single and taken stallions will be allowed to submit pictures and information about themselves, as well as contact information if they so choose. Not surprisingly, it was council member Sunny Salsa (who has been forever scorned for losing Kimono to the scandalous Cherry Blossom) who came up with the idea.

"I just thought, hey this way my fellow Princess'es and I can find stallions! Or, they can find us! Either way it's great. Maybe we'll even get some ponies from Butterfly Island!"

Of course, not everyone is all sunshine and rainbows for the idea. Married couple Kiwi Tart and Seaspray were tough to track down, but one of the few known married couples of Ponyville. Kiwi Tart is a successful though little known pony in Ponyville. However, she fears this new book will put a spotlight on her family.

"We moved here from Butterfly Island so Seaspray could get a better job, and we wanted to get away from the beach life.We were hoping for the quite life of living in a village, settling down and starting a family. Seaspray is a wonderful stallion, and he would constantly be bothered by silly fillies looking for a summer fling. This new book is going to present a whole new group of single ponies. Whom he doesn't need to meet anyway!"

The Stallion book gives each pony the option to include contact information, and it is not a requirement to submit any information what so ever, though encouraged.

Hello pony_drama friends! I am sorry for the lack of updates, but, I have been away from my pony collection for a year because of *gasp* college. I will start doing more updates for the rest of the summer. This was meant to be a fun thing for me to entertain myself with over the summer, and it still is entertaining as ever.

Queen Wingsong is mad

News about the SLH Princess annual holiday party spread to the queen, who was outraged at their behavior.

"Several of our Princesses could possibly be de-crowned temporarily. They did not behave according to our regulations. Princesses are supposed to be good role models. I can't imagine what spurred them to act so poorly. Surely may absense was not the only factor."

The Queen made no more comments about the event.
So, which Princesses are looking at a temporary de-crownment? Petal Blossom and the notorious Rainbowberry. Chances are, Petal Blossom will face a temporary ban, and Rainbowberry will get her mafia pals to back her up and she'll get away unscathed.

Sunshimmer's monopoly growing?

Sunshimmer's interview in MOC revealed several things:

1. She is not just a pretty face, but an intelligent pony
2. She has plans for opening new businesses
3. She loves tanning booths

Whispers throughout the area say she may soon launch her own line of ponywear. Pony designers are getting nervous. This could be bad news for Frilly Frocks:

"There aren't very many ponywear designers. It's not a very big industry. Ponies that do decide to go into that kind of field take lots of risks, have lots of training, and have to have an eye for different tastes. If Sunshimmer decides to start a line, other celebrities might follow her and then us small name designers will be out of jobs. I owe all my fame to my shop, my designs can only be bought there. I know Sunshimmer, she's bought gowns from me before...It'd hurt me if she tried to one up me"

Small ponywear designers such as Frilly Frocks, are few and far between and often work with celebrities when the occasion arises. SewnSo also runs a shop on the opposite side of town. Meadowbrooke's Market also carries some of her designs.

Princess's know how to party

The SLH Princess's dished out the dirt at their annual holiday party. Petal Blossom, Silly Sunshine, Sunny Salsa, and Rainbowberry threw catty remarks at each other all night long as the juice flowed. Sunny Salsa started crying hysterically when Petal Blossom commented on her "lack of a proper stallion" It is well known that Sunny Salsa is still hurting over the Kimono incidence, and Petal Blossom tuned right into it. Dibble Dabble consoled her after the argument:

"I felt so bad for her. Petal Blossom had no right what so ever to pick on her like that! I don't even know how they got onto the topic in the first place. I think they were discussing their relationships and Petal Blossom made a remark about Salsa not having one because 'her stallion turned out to be a gelding' when he ran away, and followed up with 'oh Salsa has always had problems holding onto them'. She doesn't have much room to talk, really. Her husband isn't exactly prince charming either."

Meanwhile, Rainbowberry toyed with all the guests. She spit juice on other's gowns, and her drunk body guard, Prince Cacti, made rude remarks at all the ponies present. Aloha Pearl brought her kid sister to the event and was appalled at what took place:

"I was thoroughly embarrassed. I brought Luau with me, only to introduce her to everyone and get her acquainted. We've never had such a disastrous party before. Prince Cacti behaved very poorly. He whistled at everyone and made us all feel like pieces of meat, and Rainbowberry laughed all the while. I don't understand why he hangs around her anyway."

The Queen did not attend the party this year, she was out of town on family business. All agree that if she had been present, none of the drama would have ensued.

Detinseling: Dangerous new fad?

Silver Song's detinseling operation caused sparks to fly among the Princess council, and among religious leaders alike. An alarming number of ponies have taken into consideration the removal of their tinsel. Plastic surgeon offices have become packed with ponies wanting the job done on themselves. Finally, this operation has recieved the attention it so deserved. Silver Song was not the first to have the operation done, but the first pony with a fair amount of publicity around her. Ponies with itchy, or ratty tinsel can finally have relief. The operation has not be banned, but morality has come into question. Queen Wingsong adressed the issue:

"I believe it is only fair that each pony makes the decision for themselves, the operation will always be an option. Silver song is much happier now. Some ponies who are struggiling with identity issues, or those who are simply going with the fad need to sit down and think long and hard about the procedure. It is not reversable. It is a life decision, not to be taken lightly. And I don't think any pony should ever forget that tinsel is a gift. Not every pony has been given such a gift. It is truly unique."

One pony by the name of Beebop told us why the operation was a good choice for her:

"As a performer, my appearance is really important. My tinsel is pretty crazy. Yeah I'm in a rock band, and yeah the messy hair is part of that look, but when you've got tinsel poking into your eye, it's hard to concentrate on what you're doing. and...I always have the wind swept look. There are times when I need to look professional you know? I can't have just one look."

A follow-up story with Beebop and life after the operation will be issued in the near future. On the other hand, other ponies would never consider such an operation. Dream Blue claims she is proud to sport her tinsel:

"It makes me unique! Sure it might be messy at times, but I am proud to have it! It's a gift, no one should ever forget that."

And what of those ponies who wish they had the gift of tinsel? Always and Forever wishes she had some:

"I'm sure there will be an operation for ponies like me, one of these days. I think tinsel is beautiful! I wish I had my own. I'm not saying ponies should be forced to stay with their tinsel..I just think they need to be more considerate of other ponies. It's not something you can just throw away and grow back."

Ponyville remains divided on the issue.

Aloha Pearl finds long lost sister

Super long hair Princess Aloha Pearl traveled abroad to Butterfly Island last week, she spent the entire time there tracking down a pink pony known as 'Luau', her own sister.

"I had no idea I had a sister. Mom never told me"

Aloha Pearl's family history has to be understood to realize what a big deal this discovery actually is. As a troubled youth, Aloha Pearl ran away from her home, Butterfly Island, to move to Ponyville. She was out of place on the island, the only pony to be born with un-naturaly long hair. After hearing that this would give her royal status, and without approval from her mother, she ran away to find acceptance.

"I was considered a freak on the island, why would I want to stay there? Anyway. I only found out about Luau before mom died. She wrote me a letter out of the blue, telling me to come home and find my sister, bring her back to Ponyville and set up a new life for her. I wish I had known! I always wanted a younger sibling. It was all very overwhelming, my life got more hectic than usual. My mom's death..but then finding out I have a sister..it put me in shock. I'm just glad I found her."

The two ponies returned late last night at the interregional airport. Few photos were taken, and an interview with Luau has not yet taken place.

Dream Blue has nothing new to say.

During yesterday's SLH Princess council's press conference, Dream Blue approached the podium and had much to say:

"Hello Ponyville. I'm Dream Blue, proud member of this council. As you know, we are all very concerned with the way of life in Ponyville. For that reason, I have decided to propose a re-formed way of life for us all. Life is about living well. How do we do that? Exercise. Enjoy the sunlight! Take your kids and pets for walks. Eat less cake. We all know how wonderful and delicious Sparkleworks Coffee is, and how much of a treat the Cotton Candy Cafe can be. But cut down. Eat more health vegetables, and rose petals! They are so very good for your skin. And water, never doubt the simple benefits of healthy fresh, pure, clean, spring water..."

at this point in the conference, it became clear that Dream Blue had nothing of importance to say. She was not even supposed to be speaking at the said conference. The contents of her supposed speach came from Dibble Dabble's speech earlier in the afternoon, when she spoke about re-forming the school's way of keeping kids healthy. Dream Blue was asked to leave by all the other Princess' present. Dibble Dabble did not appear upset about the incidence, meerly amused:

"It's kind of sad how hard Dream Blue tries. She wants to make a difference, but she isn't too bright. She doesn't know how to express ideas clearly, and often re-phrases what other ponies have already said. It's happened before. Last year, she stole information from Petal Blossom's speech..and Petal Blossom isn't nearly as well-tempered as myself."

The conference finished without incidence after Dream Blue left. Topics covered included; law management, the health of the children, lawn watering, gang issues, and the Christmas ball.

Cherry Blossom's bling

Kimono and Cherry Blossom caused quite a stir today when they were seen by press outside the Ponyville gardens. Kimono's already tarnished reputation from denying his Prince title only worsened after the two started being seen together. Kimono ran away with Cherry Blossom after plans to marry super long hair Princess Sunny Salsa were finalized. Silver Song had this to say: (from June 2006):

"He was all set to marry Sunny Salsa when he suddenly disappeared. It wasn't for months later that he was seen with that other pony, Cherry Blossom. I dont doubt she's a sweet pony. But she..has caused our family a lot of pain. Kimono has embarrased us in so many ways with his actions. "

Today, the pair was photographed. Startled press members came to realize that Cherry Blossom was wearing a large crystal about her neck, the same kind that could symbolized engagement. When the press rushed the couple, Kimono hid Cherry Blossom and the two hurried quickly away from the crowd. When Silver Song had been notified of the crystal, and was asked about marriage plans, her eys welled and she had no comment. Sunny Salsa however, was calm:

"We were set to be married. But you could tell he didn't want to. I wasn't too upset when he ran off. I could kind of see it coming, what with his reputation and all. Never spoke much"

When asked if she thought a marriage was in their future:

"I don't really know. no one does. He rarely speaks to silver Song anymore."

She was not available for any more questioning.

Valenshy's Secret sale bursts Silver Lining's bubble

Earlier this morning, Valenshy's Secret changed their winter theme to a more Christmas based look, with provocative images of ponies in Valenshy's sleepwear laying in a straw-bedded manger, with brightly colored packages scattered all about them and angelic pegasi above wearing barely there gold and white lingerie. The images in the store windows promised a "naughty Christmas surprise" was included with every $80 or more purchase. "perfect for any stocking stuffer" Religious extremist Silver Lining claims that the store's images are making a mockery of Christmas.

"The Christmas spirit has become deranged. Ponies must not forget why we celebrate this holy day! Valenshy is making a mockery of the birth of our lord! I am outraged that any pony would support such disgusting images! Christmas is a pure holiday, not a season for sinning! And this store is surely promoting all kinds of terrible sins. Repent Valenshy! The lord will not look kindly on you for such a heinous act!"

Valenshy was seen shortly after this remark from silver Lining, outside a Sparkleworks Coffee. The press caught up to her and when asked if she would change the stores holiday motif she replied:

"Of course not. I am fully aware that my business will go against the wishes of some other ponies. Silver Lining has been threatening to shut me down for years. It's nothing new really. [smiles] besides, I kind of like the shock value or it all, hm?"

Valenshy gratiously answered all of the press' questions and then slipped onto a scooter and was off.

Silversong reveals her de-tinseled mane

This afternoon pictures were released of Silversong's photoshoot with VainityPony which revealed her newly de-tinseled mane. The Super long hair princess had been hiding her luscious locks underneath a hooded cloak for the past several weeks. Rumors had spread about the princess's tinsel loss, rumors which Queen Wingsong promptly denied:

"Silversong is a very respectable member of society. Taking part in such a life changing operation without council consent is simply...ludicris!"

Apparently, the Queen knew of the operation and even suggested the surgeon herself, she even considered the same operation for her own daughter: (from October's issue of MOC)

"Goody Gumdrops tinsel has been itching her considerably as of late. The poor dear has trouble sleeping at night. As any pony with tinsel knows, growing it out can be a a very painful time. I've considered the operation, but she is still too young."

Silversong's new hair caused an uproar among religious leaders, though it is not considered a violation of Ponyville regulations. Silversong is very pleased with her new hair:

"I think life will be much easier now. My tinsel gave me skin problems and is ways always so ratty. [laughs] Kimono got the good tinsel genes in the family."

Silversong's operation was performed by professionals, and was done in a safe manner. She was put under and the tinsel was removed.

Silver Song

The older sister of the notorious Kimono, Silver Song is the perfect example of 'guilty through association' Though she is a very respectable pony, her reputation has been tarnished due to Kimono's actions. She rarely appears bitter about the ordeal, and rarely speaks about her brother. She does as much as she can to promote a positive way of life in Ponyville. She is a well liked member of the SLH princess council.

Star Catcher

Goes by several street names; 'dream bringer' 'wish' and 'prince of the heavens' little is known other than that he comes to ponies in dire need of something. He is a miracle of sorts.

PortoBella

Notourious drug dealer PortoBella (called 'shroomy' by the street gang) has found herself in several big arrests and publicity scenes. She is wealthy, but chooses to live life on the streets. She is very well known throughout Ponyville for her shady reputation. She has connections to the pony mafia and does under the table deals with all the celebrities in the area.

Royalette

A genetic 'accident' she was created from the perfect DNA of all the princesses, combined into one pony. Unfortunatly, she did not inherit the 'long hair' required to be a princess. Her good looks and charms have given her some perks in life, though she can be a bit slow at times blaming it on her 'test tube' childhood.

Sapphire Shores

Loyal, trusted Sapphire is Jack's best man in command. As a member of his street gang, he too has gotten into considerable trouble with the laws. He is a 'player' among ponies, and has won many of his cases by sleeping with the princesses.

Silly Sunshine

Bright and cheery Silly is the youngest member of the SLH princess council. She is bubbily, fun, and playful.

Valenshy

Owner of the ever popular store 'Valenshy's Secret', Valenshy is a very succsessful business owner. She has also been a judge on the Ponyville show 'Ponyville's next top model'. She is shallow, full of herself, and a tattle-tail. She dishes out gossip like it's Tuesday's special.

Charm Bracelet and Lavendar Locket

Two of the sweetest kids you'd ever meet. Both are child prodigies in the acting and modeling world.

Dibble Dabble

Art teacher, volunteer, and a member of the SLH princess council; Dibble Dabble is a do-good who likes to encourage children to pursue artistic careers. She is also a talent scout, and discovered Charm and Lavendar.

Dream Blue

One of the more annoying ponies, and not very bright either, Dream Blue whines about her looks constantly. She also believes that because she is so rare, she should be the next queen. Her personality is flat and sobering. She is rarely chosen to represent the princesses, though she attends every social event faithfully. She is a member of the SLH princess council

Wingsong and Goody Gumdrop

Wingsong is the reigning queen of Ponyville. She is also leader of the Super Long Hair princesses council. She has a big heart, and a very no nonsense way of doing things. Goody Gumdrop is a bold outgoing kid. She makes friends easily and makes her mother proud.

Wondermint

This pony is obsessed with the sky. She has been known to sit out on a mountain gazing at the sky for hours. She claims that the sky 'talks to her and tells her things no one else can'. She fits in very well with the emo crowd. Many ponies make fun of her, but she seems to ignore them claiming that she, unlike the others, has found 'inner peace'.

Frilly Frocks

Frilly owns a very successful boutique. Her shop (fashion scene) is the only place where you can buy studded legwarmers, fancy capes, and princess wear. She also sells crowns, fancy shoes, and customized costumes! Although she is very wealthy, Frilly is a down-to-earth pony. She loves it when someone comes into her shop and gives her a challenge! Sew+So is her assistant.

Silver Lining

A highly religious pony, Silver Lining believes that the only way to live is to follow the path set by God. She considers many ponies to be 'unholy' and has often been seen telling others that 'they will go to hell unless their sins are repented'. She is very involved in the movement to put prayer back in school. She is also a member of the SLH princess council. She goes to mass every sunday, and on holy days.

Kimono

A very dark pony indeed, Kimono usually keeps to himself. He is a prince but refuses to acknowledge it, and is considered the rebel of the community. He is normally referred to as a goth by the locals. It is to be assumed that he and Cherry Blossom are involved in a very deep relationship, despite family wishes.

Rainbowberry

The rich inventer of the famous pony drink 'Rainbowberry juice'. The many flavors of Rainbowberry juice range from simple juice to alchoholic beverages. Rainbowberry has tried several times to create a juice that has illegal substances, but has been arrested accordingly. She is also somewhat of a mafia leader, and has been involved in several conspiracies. She has secret contacts with Port-o-Bella. Despite all this, she is a member of the Super Long Hair princess council.

Sunshimmer

Perhaps one of the most welcome faces in Ponyville, she is a perfect example of 'from rags to riches'. A famous model of ponyville, she also co-owns a spa. She can do no wrong and is friendly to everyone. Ponies look up to her. She is also a judge on the show 'Ponyville's next top model'.

Waterfire

Originally from 'Butterfly Island' he moved to Ponville with a few of his friends searching for a thrill. He is the punk leader of a local pony gang rivaled with Jack's gang. One of the more violent and mean members of the community, he is constantly in trouble for petty theft of vandalism. He has proven to be abusive and cold.

Always and Forever

The 'matchmaker'. She runs a dating business and her goal in life is to make sure that every pony successfully finds their significant other. She is generally a nice pony, but is known to go a bit over-board sometimes. She has her own talk show and dating service.

Alphabittle

'Bittle is a known emo-boy pony. His emotions are very easily impacted, and fits into the emo crowd with ease. He is one of the many clients of Always and Forever, he met Ribbon Wishes (his current girlfriend) through her dating service and is currently quite happy. It is rumored throughout Ponyville that he is one of PortoBella's best customers, though no one has caught him on this accusation.

Skedoodle and baby Butterdrop

Skedoodle is one of those single moms who works very hard to support her child, but always has a very hard time finding a good job. She works two jobs. Often times, her jobs are more on the risque side, she has a kind heart but very bad luck. Butterdrop is a quite and artistic kid. She's always trying to cheer her mom up.

Crystal Lake

A mysterious pony, no one is sure if this pony is male or female. There are several hints that this pony is struggiling with an identity crisis. Crystal wears a very gaudy skirt and a pearly heart necklace whenever he/she goes out.
